Woman with the baby is from Grange Hill

Just watching the film now, and I recognized the woman who hides the baby and is shot for spitting in the Nazi's face.

Sara Sugarman, was also in one of the early episodes of Grange Hill, her character Jessica was a political activist type character who ended up expelled for leading a rebellion in the school.

I wonder if it was that role that landed her in this one?
