The funniest scene in the move to me.

In my opinion, the funniest scene was when they went to harry morgan's office wearing their PAGAN gear and demonstrated the goat dancing. The camera view switches to outside the office and you can't hear what they are saying, but the visual of seeing both of them jumping around and harry morgan burying his face in his hands was classic.

Yeah, I agree with you! Even to this day that scene still cracks me up.

"Rock is dead! Long live Paper and Scissors!

What I love about this movie is that there are so many small jokes, almost insider jokes, it gives you something new to laugh at every time you watch it.
My favourite part is at the end where Streebeck says 'you mean the virgin Connie Swail' and Friday gives him that look, and the music... I was on the floor LMAO!!

reply

"The virgin connie Swail" was very funny. But for some reason, I love the high-speed scene where they're chasing the car with Connie in it, and Pep complains, "Joe, you just ran through that stop light!", and Joe replies, "Felt good!"

reply

Funniest scene hands down is where Friday & Streebeck are rescuing the virgin, Connie Swale, from the pit and formal introductions are being made.

Pep: "...and my favorite colour is blue...Jesus Christ, I'm about to be attacked by a giant snake!"

reply

The "my favorite color is blue" line is one of the best lines of the movie. And to me, the best scene is when they go to Enid Borden's apartment.
"I should have thrown it all away but unlike some people I have a heart god dam it!" That scene is one of the funniest scenes of all time.

Now that you've tasted my mutton, how do you like it?

'hallucinogenic drugs, we took them to fit in'...

One of my favorite scenes is when they Friday gets the chili dogs and Streebeck is lecturing about how bad they are for him and Friday just says "I hate you Streebeck." Classic.

Mrs. Tarantino: Are you the police?
Elwood: No, ma'am. We're musicians.

reply

"C'mon Streebeck. Let's go find that notebook..."

And of course the eternal:

"You got a lot of repressed feelings, don't you Friday!? Must be what keeps your hair up!"

reply

I can't watch this movie without first fast-forwarding to the dancing in sheepskin chaps scene...the cutaway to outside Harry Morgan's office so you would see it as a bystander makes it so bizarre and ludicrous, you can't help but laugh until the tears run down your leg...

reply

Lookout.... MUPPETS

haha

reply

That was a classic line too. What about 'Don't you mean the VIRGIN Connie Swale?' The look Tom Hanks gives Dan Aykroyd after his smug looking grin is priceless.

reply

As always in these types of movies the smaller and more detailed the joke the funnier it gets. Here are some of my favorite scenes:

1. when aykroyd has that rant outside the bathroom door, incredibly well executed. Damn he talks fast. And everybody starts applauding.

2. how they go on referring to connie swail as "the virgin connie swail", like that would be a title of some kind.

3. it also cracks me up when aykroyd nods seriously when grandma asks him if he has a date.

+ tonnes of other scenes

I think aykroyd and hanks have great chemistry together in this movie.

well since you're naked you might as well f___ a friend of mine. Paul come in here!

Hanks' reading when he runs up to Joe and Dabney Coleman after the battle at the mansion.

"Joe! Jerry! Donna!" and then smoothly, "Ava." Always makes me chuckle.

reply

"It's for you. It's the president."

My favorite part is where they pull up to Connie's house and Streeback asks if the Beaver can come out to play..

Also the Muppets line in the car chase HAHA.

reply

I can't believe it. I've read all of them and it hasn't been posted.
I have to make this right...

When Dan Aykroyd leaves the interrogation room, to go get coffee, Tom Hanks is left alone with the suspected P.A.G.A.N. member. He says something along the lines of, "Well... Emil... I guess it's just YOU and... ME and... YOUR balls... and this drawer." The look that the guy gives Hanks followed by the look that Aykroyd gives outside when he hears the suffering...PRICELESS!
