At the end of the movie, we find out that the commissioner is crooked and was in on the whole thing with Wirley. We last see here chasing the plane that Wirley is taking off in. Is it ever explained what happens to her afterwards? Is she arrested or does she get away or did it really not matter since Wirley had decided to turn on her?

When Friday and Streebeck arrived at the airport, Police Commissioner Jane Kirkpatrick was nowhere to be seen. I guess she quickly escaped and later made up a story about how she had absolutely idea what Reverend Jonathan Whirley evil plans.
