Under-rated
The first 50 minutes or so of this is comedic genius - but it loses steam once Joes takes 'The Virgin' Connie Swail out on the date .
Ackroyd is very near to his best in this , and Hanks shows the charm and comedic timing that would be honed to perfection in his later , far more succesful movies .
"Listen, hotshot. I'm gonna tell you something right now. I don't care for you or for the putrid sludge you're troweling out. But until they change the laws and put you sleaze kings out of business, my job is to help you get back your stenchering boxes of smut.
