question about the end (spoilers)

so at the very end, we see the father, stepmother and two punk girls have all been turned into dolls but i'm wondering how?

we see it happen to the father so thats fine but the other three were all killed so how they can they be dolls at the end? if they hadn't moved then i could accept the old couple changed them after death and they're just lifeless dolls but of course they're all alive still.

i guess they just wanted to have a neat "got it coming to them" sorta ending but it didnt really fit the logic this movie established.

In one scene, David yelled at Hilary and said "You witch!" and Hilary replied "How did you know?" So I think a bit of witchcraft might have been involved.

"Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings."

It the movie's defense, we technically don't see the two punk girls die...the blonde gets carried away screaming and the other girl gets shots a few times, but I don't think we see her actually die. And even if they were dead, I suppose with the owners being "witches," if they could turn people into dolls, I'm sure they could reanimate them too.

I think you also may have missed the point that this is a fantasy film about people being killed by dolls in Grimm Brothers type of story ( as shown at the end when a car pulls up again with a child in the back and a father that shouts "shaddap!" at them ) It is a fairy tale... do you poke/look for plot holes in fairy tales ? lololol
