6.2??? Bollocks!

More proof that IMDb's mathematical gymnastics for working out ratings is rubbish. More than a third of raters gave this 10 stars, while 17.6% gave it 5 or less.

Every time I really love something and feel it worthy of ten stars, I hesitate because I wonder if they simply ignore all the ten star ratings. I wonder if that 34-odd % had all rated it 9/10, if it's rating would be much higher?

If they're going to arbitrarily decide that ratings aren't valid purely because they're 1 or 10 stars, why not ditch the whole system - or at least stop pretending it has any significance whatsoever.

People who go ape over Bay or Boll are also likely entertained by the blue water in their toilets...

I'm not sure what counts against high ratings on this board. Personally, I gave it an 8 in my review.

Maybe all of the people who review a movie without rating it count against those who do rate as they review? Just a theory.
