27 playing 16?

Geeze, what a stretch.

I assumed she was 18 (summer before college). Still that's a huge age difference although I was surprised to hear she was 27 when they made it. She seemed younger.

Baby was suppose to be 17, she had just graduated from High School and was going to College in the fall.

Jennifer could get away with it despite her age because she still had a youthful look about her.

And her acting was perfect...she pulled off the awkward teenage girl trying to figure out what kind of a woman she wants to be brilliantly. I believe she is 17 when I watch the film and if I didn't already know that she was really 27 when she played the part I would never have guessed it.

Honestly, I never brought her being 17, she didn't look 27 either. My mind always goes to her being 21 but I guess that's supposed to be the age of Johnny and he is supposed to be older than her.

reply

Watching it now and she definitely looks younger than 27.

reply

She sure did pull it off!

reply

Except that she pulled it off! She looks 17 to me, and acts the awkwardness well too. As long as an actor seems like a certain age, it doesn't really matter what age they actually are. She looked super young and it was convincing.

reply

It's not unheard of in Hollywood for adults in their 20s to play teens.
