Does anyone know if this has ever been released on DVD or VHS? Thanks.

I just got a copy on eBay and it is on VHS. I would love to see it come out on DVD as well, as most copies people have are old and wearing out. Mine is almost as well, but it was the newest one I could find, believe it or not.

I feel your pain. The copy I have I taped WAY back in 1987 when this firstiared on HBO. I've watched it so many times that it's faded and looks terrible. Too bad that so much crap makes it to DVD and something like this is ignored.

Yeah I recorded it on to VHS then copied the whole sound track to Cassette!!!!!!!

I actually purchased this movie on DVD on eBay a couple months ago. The sound and picture are excellent...If you look for it on eBay I'm sure you can find one.

Warner Home Video are releasing it on DVD on 1st November 2005. You can pre-order on amazon.com

yes, there is combat, but u only see the GI's & huey's shotting off camera; no footage of bullets going through people. Also, i haven't seen any old guy doing any documentary so it's pretty entertaining. But of course i've only seen half of it in english class.:P

Are most of you teachers? I am and I have the vhs, and delighted to be able to order it on DVD, just wondered why else you would be wearing it out?
