My parents also rented this movie on VHS when i was a kid (I think I was about 7 or 8) and i have never forgotten how scared this movie made me feel. Specially the werewolf story.
Looking back, i should really have not been allowed to watch it. So inappropriate!

The finale was indeed scary as hell, and yes, not a very appropriate movie for children - lots of nudity, sex and violence.
