Hitchcock references--name them!

1. Mr. Murray carries a glass of milk up to Katie like the scene in Suspicion when Cary Grant's character does the same thing to Joan Fontaine's character

2. Husband is a photographer hobbled by a broken leg in full cast = Jimmy Stewart in "Rear Window"

3. The opening shot of New York City, moving through the buildings looked an awful lot like the opening shot of "Psycho", although the camera didn't go through a window into the apartment.

4. Dr. Lewis makes Katie over into Julie Rose just like Scottie makes over Judy into Madeleine in Vertigo.

Yes, it was a homidge to The Master of Suspense!

One of Hitchcock's signatures was giving the audience some information, but not all of it.

The scene where the guy lifts up the bench seat and there's a body in it was probably inspired by Rope. The idea of the boyfriend/husband going on an adventure to go save the girl from danger reminded me of Psycho.
