Really sad this is not at least top 250

Have lots of people not seen it? I still think this is easily my fav movie.

I don't know how many people have seen it, but I have to say this film is brilliant and I think underrated. I don't think there are enough votes for it to be in the top 250, but in an ideal situation, it should be.

I'm watching it for the first time on the encore drama channel. It's very inspiring. Great Performances.

I don't think it's fair to claim this movie isn't in the top 250 just because of "young people". Young people are a lot smarter than your guys think.

If this movie isn't in the top 250, that may be because it hasn't aged all that well. It's another one of those movies about racism that's predominantly told from a white POV -- and today's "young people" are, well, getting a little tired of movies like that.

More likely the reason it's not in the top 250 is that it was a massive commercial flop when released in North America. Films like Casablanca and Blade Runner may be seen to in the same boat, except they had "legs" allowing audiences to develop second opinions. But this wasn't the case with Cry Freedom. This is besides the fact the Woods story in the film doesn't quite have the same dramatic impact, as the Biko story.🐭
