Black Cobra?

Fred Williamson is never referred to by that nickname. Since the leader of the biker gang has a tattoo of a black cobra, I thought maybe it was the name of the gang. However, the gang never appears in any of the sequels.

I'm guessing the title was originally a reference to the gang, but retroactively became an unused nickname for Williamson's character once the sequels started coming in?

Its a play off the Stallone movie Fred Williamson is a rogue cop protecting a woman from a biker gang like Stallone does the same thing in Cobra.
