Songs

I watch this movie every Christmas, and I have a question that hopefully someone can help me with. There is a song that is playing about halfway through the movie, when Ray is remembering when Jessie left him, with the lyrics "Rollin like a tumbleweed...". I've been trying to find this song for a long time, and it's almost like it doesn't exist. Does anyone have any information on it, singer, title, anything?? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Tim...I have the same problem as you. I cannot track down that song or the title. I'm also trying to find the song which plays when the fight breaks out in the casino with the lyrics "3 is my lucky number".

Both songs sound as though they are performed by the same country band.

Many years have passed and I haven't tracked down anything?

I even sent a fax to the film Company in the U.S. I never got a response.

I found two songs with the words "rolling like a tumble weed" in them by searching the internet:

Tangled Up In Texas
Nobody But You

Nobody But You is a Blue's song, so it might be a better bet to see if it wasn't Tangled Up In Texas. I watch this movie every year, so I'll try to catch the song and see if I can figure it out.

I guess not many folks watch this movie judging from the lack of comments on this message board. I like it, it has a good message.

I checked your song suggestion out 'Tangled Up in Texas' and can confirm it's definately not the song that runs in the film.

The mystery remains. Who is the artist of the "Rolling like a Tumble Weed" ..and..."3 is my lucky number" songs which play during the movie ?

there is a song in this movie that has lyrics that sound like the song may be Barstools and Babies, I can"t find anything on this song. ANy ideas? I just watched this movie for the first time,it"s awesome!!!

Barstools & Babies Don't mix...by Leroy Van Dyke

Brian already answered this question earlier.

The 'rolling like a tumbleweed', could be a Joan Baez song called Tumbleweed. She also did Boulder to Birmingham that was on the Dukes of Hazzard episode "Play it Again Luke."

reply

I confirm the song is not by Joan Baez. The 'Rolling like a Tumbleweed' & 'Three is my lucky number' songs are sung by a band with a Male vocalist.

reply

Billy Milo sings "Three is my lucky number".
