Wonderful film

This film is essential viewing for those interested in Abel Ferrara. He examines both sides of the senseless, mutual racial hatred between the Chinese and Italians and refuses to take sides. It's a tender love story, a heartbreaking tragedy and a tough, uncompromising crime picture.

Those familiar with New York know that one street literally separates Chinatown from Little Italy. The film is an outstanding exploration of he inevitable tension such proximity creates, particularly amongst gangs and criminals.
