I watched Cherry 2000 too may times

OK, I rewatched C2K two or three times in the last month and noticed some things I'd like to know more about.

Sandwiches: The sandwiches that Ginger was offering looked like they were made from uniform loaves of bread--like that which would come from a commercial bakery. Where would the get that out in Zone 7? Do they make runs to the city with their bread truck?

Ginger: The city was "too much bull" so she now lives in Lester's camp. How did she get there? Did Lester send in recruiters to the city to entice disgruntled dwellers to come live in the desert? Wonder what caused her and Sam to break up? I assume that happened before Sam found Cherry.

When we first met Ginger, she seemed protective of Lester and concerned as to how sensitive he was. However, she was unmoved by his violent death and more concerned about who got a sandwich. Apparently she was much more detached than it initially appeared.

Motel: Sam referred to Lester's gang as "the guys from the motel." I didn't realize at first that Sky Ranch must have originally been a desert motel with dome dwellings. That would explain the fancy lighted sign.
