The slow clap!

I hadn't seen this since it came out, and I had to laugh at the part where Ronnie stands up for the red-haired kid towards the end with a baseball bat, and one of the jocks starts the classic 80s movie slow-clap! I know this happened in several movies of the decade, but would love it if people could name some of the other movies you remember doing the slow-clap?
