Which is best, Secret admirer or Can't buy me love ?

I pick Secret Admirer. Secret Admirer have a better cast, I really don't like Patrick Dempsey but Amanda Peterson was nice but not as nice as Lori Loughlin. I also love the music in Secret Admirer and it have some nudity and a better ending Imo.

Two of my favorite movies. I think both are equally good and will appeal to different people for different reasons.

cant buy me love is way better. As soon as i finished watching CBML i just wanted to watch it over again. which i did lol. for me, thats the mark of a great movie.

i agree CBML is waaaaayyy better. thisn't even a fair comparison. who even remembers secret admirer? lol

Come on, I like CBML a lot but Secret Admirer is also great, the cast is slightly better Imo, C. Thomas Howell, Lori Loughlin, Fred Ward and Kelly Preston in their prime. And the movie also offers some nudity and a better soundtrack than CBML. Overall i rate Secret Admirer a little higher.

I like Secret Admirer but I love Can't Buy Me Love, so definitely the latter. To me CBML is the more quintessential 80s movie. It just oozes 80s. Howevever if you had told me SA was made in the 90s, I wouldn't have questioned it all. It's a good movie, but nothing about it (except maybe the music) says "this movie was made in the 80s". It doesn't stand out as much as CBML. Also CBML is an overall better movie to me.

I only do it with superheroes.

What an awesome question to debate! Both movies are absolute 80s gems. I have to go with Secret Admirer, though. Loughlin was just about the perfect girl in this movie. The score was fantastic as well. In addition, you have to love the climax of SM. Both 10s in my book, but the edge goes to SM.

Ooh... Tough call! Secret Admirer better soundtrack yes, Can't Buy Me Love just as funny! Casting tough to say... Corey Haim over Seth Green come on, how can you choose both great as annoying little brothers who you gotta love! C. Thomas Howell vs. Patrick Dempsey... C. Thomas Howell then. Lori Laughlin vs. Amanda Peterson, Amanda Peterson ( Rad is my favorite movie ever )

Wow that is a tough one to choose from.I really liked Secret Admirer.One thing both of these movies did have in common with themselves is they both had the same type of emotional endings.
