What was wrong with Sebastian's arm? (in the sequel)

Sorry but the sequel doesn't really have message board so I figured I'd come here to ask....

In the sequel, the monkey, Sebastian, tells Kirby about the laboratory and then pulls off his bandage, and all we see is a shadow. But whatever it was instantly brought Kirby, who was very angry and selfish in the preceedings moments, to tears.

What was wrong with his arm? What happened to it? It's been a while since I've seen it and I can't find it anywhere around my house. Please be as gratituous as possible with the descriptions.
