Couple of questions:

At beginning when Lampy is coming up with ways to travel one was to put the refrigerator on a skateboard. The refrigerator should sentient like the other appliances but doesn't seem. Is this a goof or was it dead?

Why was a battery needed? They seem to move around and operate just fine without it.
