* Both series form a trilogy

* Both series were picked up by Disney

* The Brave Little Toaster was originally going to be the first 3D animated film, ultimately Toy Story became the first 3D animated film, over 8 years later

* Both series feature appliances/toys who hate one another but later start to respect each other and become friends during their adventures
