Finally found it

..and boy am I glad. I saw this movie in a theater in Pakistan when I was in my teens and really liked it. Over the years, I forgot this movie's name and also that of all the actors and the makers. Needless to say it was very frustrating because the movie stayed with me all this time and I couldn't remember anything about it to even initiate a search. Finally last week after two decades of searching aimlessly I came across a name in a horror movie website that sounded familiar, the name of the actors sounded familiar as well. A quick read through the plot convinced me that this is the same movie that I have been searching for two decades in Pakistan and the US. I went ahead and bought it from Amazon. Watching it again made me extremely happy. Mission accomplished. The movie itself is great in a B-movie kind of way. The special effects are decent for such a low budget. The ladies, especially Catherine Roman as the lone American Carol and Nikki Brooks as Janet, are extremely attractive.
