I just saw this last night (Its on FearNet on demand right now), and I have to say this is one horrible movie. The gore effects were more convincing in any of Herschell Gordon Lewis' movies!
It wasnt so much a fun movie as it was a wtf? movie. And the end.. What was with the damn zombiesin the club? I must have missed something there.
This one is a terrible waste of time. Get Blood Feast or Blood Feast 2. Both much better.
Amen jim. I've been seeing some reviews from people saying it's funny, great, and hilarious!!! What were they watching? I understand this was supposed to be a comedy or a satire of slasher movies, but there was nothing funny about it! Not once did I laugh or even smile at anything that happened in this movie. This movie was flat-out retarded!
This movie took an hour and a half of my life that I'm never going to get back. A hour and a half that felt like 3!!!!
Don't bother watching - take my word for it. RUN AWAY, RUN AWAY!!!!!

shareI totally agree. It wasn't even tongue-in-cheek funny. It was just sloppy, dumb, and boring. Not even that gruesome. Skip this crap, go watch the Reanimator.
For a great example of what an awesome, low-budget, campy, and funny horror movie is SUPPOSED to be watch DEAD ALIVE, or EVIL DEAD.
Please. Any movie whose climax is the unnatural animation of an ancient, antedeluvian goddess while Wagner's overture to "Tannhauser" plays trumps any of the movies you guys mentioned, especially "Evil Dead" which is a frame by frame ripoff of "Equinox." "Blood Diner" is a gem, a true cult movie. If you don't get it, you aren't part of the cult.

shareI know I'm adding this comment kind of late but I totally agree with u guys. I read all the positive reviews and decided to watch. After an hour I turned it off. It wasn't funny--not even remotely. Not ONE joke worked! This was incredibly sexist-even for a horror film. The almost constant female nudity got more annoying than anything else. And the gore was the WORST I've ever seen! You guys are brave making it through all 90 minutes:) I'm really scared to think that people think that this movie is great.
shareHaha, oh boy I forgot about this one. Yes, this is a truly awful experience. The acting and effects are so bad they are not even funny, which is very, very bad. It is very sexist, whoever said that is right.
Try and write some the dialogue down on paper and then just read it. That really demonstrates how awful the "script" is. There are inumerable ways to better spend 90 minutes of your life.

shareI feel a need to redress the balance a little after reading so many negative comments. Blood Diner is a work of art. The film-makers achieved exactly what they set out to: a funny spoof of, yet homage to, H.G. Lewis's films.
That soundtrack, the gleefully sadistic nature of the whole film, what's not to like?
This movie is amazing!
