It's amazing that neither the film nor the IMDb reviews and messages in any way indicate that this is a movie about an alcoholic. What is an "allergy" to alcohol if not alcoholism. Seen from that perspective, this is "Barfly" with a laugh track. Kinda puts a damper on all the hillarity.
shareUm I don't think she was an alco she didn't keep downing the drinks. She only has like a few glasses of champers in the whole movie. A true alcho would have kept drinking the whole time (eg Arthur or Barfly)
I think you better work on your definition of alcoholic.
You can have an "allergy" to alcohol. I don't drink at all because when I do, even one drink, and I am light headed and feel like I am going to pass out. I have a no tolerance for alcohol and I have never had more than one drink about fifteen years ago. Some people just are not wired to tolerate alcohol this doesn't make them an alcoholic.
shareI ever once looked at the film from that perspective. Why so gloomy? It was a light romantic comedy with some fine actors, a fun 90 minutes.
Nadia wasn't an alcoholic, booze just made her act crazy. It happens. A lot.
