I don't care what anyone says this is still one of my all time favourite films. So what if it's not genuine New Orleans? Love it, love it, love it! And even visited New Orleans because of it. What happened to Ellen Barkin, not seen her in anything for a while. We all know what happened to Dennis Quaid....

Fresh, different, witty, sexy, with an endlessly quotable script and great performances by Dennis Quaid and Ellen Barkin, who had a blazing sexual chemistry. Barkin brought such charisma, presence and sex appeal to her Anne Osbourne. A great actress who never got the attention she deserved and should make a comeback.
shareNo kidding. Virtually every scene is delicious. The only actor who is not excellent was the black gangster "godfather" type. Great, great cast. Remy's mom--have you ever seen a woman like that in a sympathetic role? The dance in the yard, so real and down home.
