Favorite scene?

What's everyone's favorite scene? My favorite is the mugging scene. It really establishes Remy and Anne's relationship. I really think this is a sexy scene as well.
I like how Anne is the reason the muggers didn't get away. I then love how Remy just swoops in, handcuffs his two prisoners together and then cuffs them to his car(HOT!) with Anne watching in the background.
It's also funny how he threatens them under his breath and then loudly reads them their rights as Anne smiles and nods approvingly. To top it off, Remy still manages to hit on Anne at the end of the scene while the two muggers handcuffed hands are dangling from his swinging car door in the background. That's pretty funny. Not surprising, this led to most peoples favorite scene of the movie.

well..since this is one of my all time faves..it's hard to pick..

I love the easy camraderie between the female detective and Remy..how she is always punching him.

Of course the sizzling chemistry between Ellen Barkin and Dennis...yikes.

But actually..one of my faves is a little poignant exchange. On the porch after Remy is singing with the group "You Used to Call Me" he jumps down and the group takes over..and the the father/daughter are singing together and he sweetly puts his arm around her...I don't know..just strikes me as so lovely.

Another scene I love and it is So REAL..is when after his brother is shot and he scoops and runs with his brother to the hospital and then tells the cop to move over..he's driving. It is so believable that he would feel NOBODY could get to the hospital faster than he...and a real cop would never wait for the ambulance.. scoop and run.

I love all the music in his movie as well..I immediately bought the soundtrack..still one of my favorites.

Wow, that's like asking a Mother of ten kids, who loves each one of them equally, who her favorite child is ...

I am such a fan of this film!!

I think my favorite scene, upon viewing the film for the first time, was the "love scene" between Barkin and Quaid, who clearly enjoyed "working" (Haha, yeah right) with one another.
Well, you know it's a tough job, soooo, someone's gotta do it .

Upon later RE-viewing this movie, I liked most of it, except the last 15 minutes, from 1:21:27 onward to about 1:36:50.

The more Ken Loach films I see, the more I think they need English subtitles.

i figured his brother would have been her devoted slave after she snuck up on him that nasty way at the refrigerator, right, by the way, does john goodman always play crooks in movies taking place in new orleans, otherwise i never see it happen, funny. what a great soundtrack this movie has. i don't know about you, but the version i watched the picture quality looked like a 1970's tv movie.

Guys sound gross when they like Love Scenes best . . Who needs the whole movie? (see?)

At the hospital, outside, waiting on word from Bobby.
In the foreground, little girl on a swing, in the back, mama's smoking.
We see Beaty come out and tell his sister(in-law?) the news.
She breaks down cryin, but the camera never moves, we only hear the swing squeeking
as mama cries on Ned's shoulder.
(That's what I remember, anyway. )

2) Barkin is all sweaty after being dropped off at the house party.
Mama asks something like, "You look flushed, you OK?
"Oh, yeah, I was just out running."
Mama looks at Anne as if to say "Runnin? From what?"
It was all just there in her eyes, she didn't say a word.

3) Goodman finally empties all of his stashed weapons going into police HQ
and says, "If dat don't woik, I piss on 'em."

I'd like to retire in NOLA, but I wanna go now, while I'm still fun. Oh, and a lady, too
