Precursor to The Matrix

When Pentan is chartering Brickman to fly her, she calls up the coordinates of the planet on a computer screen at about the 13:30 mark. Did anyone else notice the screen had the cascading green symbols and characters, like The Matrix made so famous? A full 12 years earlier. Is it possible the Wachowskis saw this and were inspired by it?
