Both the movie and the actors are underrated. James Woods is excellent...

I completely agree! I can't believe this film is so underrated, and it should be known much better than it is.

Woods and Dennehy are excellent together. It's too bad this film isn't better known. I gave it 7/10 stars, but maybe if I watch it again and can decipher the plot, I'd rate it higher.

I just gave it seven out of 10 as well. Yeah, it's an entertaining movie, not so much for the story, but for the interplay between the well cast Woods and Dennehy, who both deliver commanding performances.

I love this movie. Mainly for the Joe Wambaugh-like, ex-cop turned writer character, Brian Dennehy plays so well. My Dad worked with WAMBAUGH & entire LAPD considers him their hero.

I gave movie a rating of 9. It is vastly under-rated here but that's due to the trolls, who never have seen the movie.

I give this an 8. Denney & Woods are superb. This is my fave Wool)ds performance. I loved his desperation to be friends with Meechum showed his hidden vulnerability.
