I always thought it was Chin-ASS-Ski, but in the movie, Micky Rourke pronounces it Chin-AWE-Ski, so now I'm not so sure.

it's like druff said. i don't remember rourke saying it like "AWE" in the film. i actually don't remember his character saying his name at all. he, of course, refers to himself as, "blake. bill blake" once in the bar. i'll have to go back and watch it again. luckily i own the vhs!

Is this name for some reason commonly used as an alias? It seems that in many books and films, the name is employed as an alias so many times it makes me wonder. I once had a roommate who used many aliases and one of them was 'Blake. Just curious.

it's a reference to William Blake, the poet.

"tyger, tyger, burning bright...." etc.
