Rourke's performance was near perfect, really Bukowskiesque.

Why don't anybody know about this film, seriously its ridiculous. Its certainly better than anything that comes out now days!

Love it! I'm not a Barfly per se, but my father was a truck driver, and we stopped at bars (I mostly played pinball), so I viewed my fair share of bars, and I feel this film is very realistic. I didn't meet a Wanda character until later though!:-)
