How is Derek not an action icon?

Ok, so most people have never seen this movie, so lack of public knowledge is a given. But whenever some "movie experts" makes one of their "baddest action heroes" or "toughest movie chaaracters" or whatever lists, how is Derek not included?

He falls about 50 feet to his apparent death, but doesn't die. His skull is poppsed open and his brains leaking out, but he doesn't quit. He stuffs pieces of his brain back into his skull, and finds ways to secure his skull back into place (hat, belt). And while it takes him most of the movie, eventually he drags his lunatic butt back into the fight and kills the main boss.

Derek is easily one of the most badass heroes of all time, if not the top!
