The UK BBFC have re-rated this film from a PG to a 12A

On the UK BBFC website today, Au Revoir Les Enfants has been re-rated with a 12A certificate for moderate sex references, moderate bad language, scenes of smoking. Previously it was a PG certificate.

It may be as a result of the new BBFC guidelines for certication which came into force at the end of February.

The BBFC will publish their Insight as to their reasons for the 12A in the next day or so.
