Should Be Required Viewing In ALL Schools.

An unbelievably powerful film; one that puts the bitter, in bittersweet.

I understand that some French classes still study this film, but with all the valuable life lessons to be learned from it,
Au revoir les enfants should be required viewing in ALL high schools, regardless of language.

A simple, yet truly stunning piece of work; one that continues to haunt long after the images fade from the screen.........

I do agree. I go to high school myself and I would love it if the teacher came to class one day and said we were going to watch this movie. It's simply amazing and definately grabs your attention. I haven't seen something this powerful since the last time I watched Schindler's List.

I was the shyest human ever invented, but I had a lion inside me that wouldn't shut up.

I'm in High School and we saw it in French class yesterday. Great film.

Cinema is the definition of art on every level.

We're watching it in French right now.

Are there actually schools with required viewing of certain films? Or are you just saying that it would be nice if there was?

reply

Yeah we watch it in French class.

Ed Norton is Tyler Durden and Rosebud is the sled.

haha I'm glad someone finally said this, because in my history class, we had to watch either this or Europa Europa and write a paper on it (I chose this) and trust me, I agree 100%, one of the (correct me if I'm wrong) most overlooked films of the last 25 years years.

I´m curious to know what lessons yous speak of? I just watched this film on Netflix and found it very boring. It did look nice, but I feel like I've already seen the subject matter covered before in other films.

If I never meet you in this life, let me feel the lack
