as Johnny knew he had killed Epiphany , even though the spirit of Harry didn't know for sure and he made Harry black out anyway. it seems strange why he went back there , why not make a break for it ?

I think he kind of 'had to'. He wanted to see for himself, as his mind was balking (naturally) at what was really happening.
Another reason is he likely knew there was no escape at last. Note how he looks utterly lost & weeps, and never even denies a thing to the cops that are there.

I think Cyphre killed Epiphany himself. We see him picking up a gun right before he vanishes from Margaret's apartment. Harry notices he's gone, and then heads back as fast as he can. Cyphre is sitting outside when he returns.
I recall that scene too, and always wondered about it.
Louis Cyphre tells him that he killed everyone...aided by Louis. What does *aided* mean exactly, is what I want to know.
Was he possessed?!
If so, he is not responsible! If Louis means he made it so Johnny/Harold could escape undetected that is another story.

It was that he did the killing but Cyphere was able to make him not remember what he did, which is why when he goes back he sees the dead bodies and reacts with shock because he didn't know they were killed.
shareBut in the case of Epiphany's murder it seems Cypher did the killing himself - he collects Harry's (?) gun before leaving Margaret's apartment and is curiously waiting, clean shaven and in a black dress, outside the hotel room. Also, there was no typical hallucination sequence to denote Harry was in murder-mode. I think Cypher did it.
And what if lucifer took control of epiphany's kid to kill her. Killed by her own child. That would explain the glowing eyes and pointing fingers at the hand.

He has Harry's soul... why? Harry got kidnapped, murdered and used as a soul shield by Johnny. I doubt god would be cool with him burning in hell for being a genuine victim.
