I don't get the demonstration

So the Lion wants to demonstrate his "super ninjas". He says that they are the "ultimate fighting machines" yet he then pits them up against his one main ninja, and they can't even beat him. It's like a dozen on one, and they failed. So just how ultimate are they?

Hell, even the Marines Joe releases are kicking the ninjas asses.

It was a clunky call back to the first film, the whole series really came to a crashing halt in the second part of this film, I guess they ran out of money
