'Dragnet' and Titan Condoms!!

Anyone ever notice the reference to "Amazon Women on the Moon" in the 1987 version of "Dragnet"?

In "Amazon Women", 'Titan' is the brand name of the condoms in the "Titan Man" sketch. In the film "Dragnet" (1987), which was also produced by Robert K. Weiss, Tom Hanks' character used Titan condoms...he is seen shaking an empty box.

Dragnet was funny, this movie sucks

"Amazon Women on the Moon" is a very funny movie and clever at that!! I guess you're just one of those guys that just didn't get it...and that's sad! Especially since you found "Dragnet" funny; which I did too, but "Amazon" outwits "Dragnet" in many ways.

Titan condoms are also used in the life size condom gag in the movie "The Naked Gun - From The Files of Police Squad."

Well, maybe also the fact that Ira Newborn, my cousin, did the music for both films and appears in the Silly Pate sketch as Fred, the one that is eating Doonesbury. By the way, that was really silly putty he was eating, and no, he didn't swallow it. If you watch the shot closely, you see him eating it but it ends there.

reply

I remember taking a bite of Silly Putty once JUST to see what it was like, & can underastand why he didn't swallow it. It doesn't have much flavor, but the texture isn't good at all.

Eight divided by one-half equals four squared!

He wouldn't swallow it either, probably because it would cause stomach problems.

reply

I can see that, though wouldn't it come out {in the end}?

It would come out either way. But it wouldn't be a picnic, I'll guarantee you that.
