I'm not Selma, but I can try to answer some of your questions; here goes:

#1.) What EXACTLY IS a "B" Movie, & what does the "B" STAND for?

A "B" movie refers to a film that usually ran as a 2nd feature. Similar to the "B" side of a record. The "A" side or movie is the main draw while the "B" side is considered filler.

#2.) What did Steve Allen mean about getting the pennies off Harvey's eyelids?

As strange as it seems, in the old days, pennies were placed on the eyelids of deceased people to keep them closed.

#3.) How did the effects team make it look like the Video Pirate Captain ran his sword through someone?

Simple illusion used by stage magicians; sorry I can't reveal the details.

#4.) When Butch turned to leave, & said, "I forgot something back on the ship...I forgot to stay there." Then what happpened to the screen with the brown circle growing on the screen?

It's what happens when a film gets stuck in a projector and the lamp begins to burn a hole in that frame of the film.

#5.) In the drugstore, where George wanted to buy condoms, what does "S.C.P.A." mean? It's on a sign behind Mr. Gower.)

My guess would be South Carolina Pharmacists Association

O.K., first, I was using Murray's exclamation from the movie. I like to play movie quotes with my girlfriend AND my mom. We'll try to stump each other from time to time with a quote from a movie. I LOVE it when I stump one; I can tell, when they look off to the side & their brow is furrowed. It's a FUN feeling to stump someone!

Thank you for the answers.

#2. EW! That must have started with STUPIDstition!
#3. I AM an amateur magician. How may I prove that, so you may tell me how this was done. I have performed in Corning, New York on Market Street in the winters.
#4. OH! THAT'S why I didn't know about that! I grew up with VHSs & DVDs.

Thank you VERY much for your answers!

How old are you? Film is still used in some theaters, and until very recently (within the last 2 or 3 years) it was still used in MOST theaters.

I don't know if this is how they did it in the movie, but on the show "Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed," they showed how a similar illusion is done. The assistant is wearing a flat hollow metal belt under her clothes, and the sword the magician is using is made of a flexible metal (same as the metal they use to make tape measures). The magician shoves the flexible sword into a slot on the front of the belt, and it travels through the belt around the assistant's body till it comes out of another slot on the back of the belt, making it look as if the assistant has been run through. Like I say, I don't know if this is the way they did it in the movie, but I hope this answers your question.
