Molly and the pizza.... can anyone explain?

First let me say that I don't understand why the ones who think this movie is so incredibly bad need to spend even one second of their time typing about it. I really don't get it. If it's so forgettable why haven't they forgotten about it...why come back and still talk about it? It's really not as bad as they make it sound. To me, it's like the other 80s comedy MODERN GIRLS and I'm sure some will agree. It's simple, it's fun, it's reminiscent of the 80s, the music is great, people are good looking, great scenery, fun adventures, cute story...simple and likeable. Why does everything always need to be so serious or so vulgar?

My question is, still to this day I don't understand why Molly brought the pizza to CJ? Maybe I missed something. Can anyone explain that :) Maybe there is no explanation...

BTW, I have the Soundtrack to this. If anyone is interested, email me.

Think other poster gave great explanation ~ was in a way out of ordinary but her intention was to show off what he could have had and since she had this pizza she figured it would give her excuse to go see him.

I also agree with statement about why ppl make post on how they don't care for certain movies. In a way it tells me perhaps that they do love it but just feel the need to act out. Cuz seriously why go out ur way to a board about a movie u hate rather than post good comments on one u supposedly really care for.

It looks like the main explanation was deleted by an administrator for whatever reason, but I agree with the previous poster that the pizza was just an excuse for Molly to see C.J., and her taking it away was kind of a spiteful thing. Clearly Molly wanted more of a relationship than C.J. did, and maybe she thought the pizza would be a "lure" (as if Susanna Hoffs wasn't enough of a lure). Oh well, his loss -- both for the pizza and for Molly, who I suspect was even more delicious.

I also don't understand the low rating for this film. It seems if people don't like a movie, they automatically vote "1." I gave this a 6. It's lightweight fun, a throwback to a simpler era, kind of a beach movie for the '80s. It has decent performances and some great '80s tunes.

I also have the soundtrack -- two copies on vinyl, in fact.
