Where they are in a large hotel,and in one scene there is this guy who leaves his room to go get some ice or something and looks to see a soda machine by his room,then when he decides to go back to his room he forgets what floor and that there are soda machines on every floor?

That's "Spring Break" (1983). What happens is this guy goes up to this girl's hotel room he met, leaves room to get soda in the lobby and forgets the number to her room.
