Is the MST3K version available anywhere?

I remember this being one of my favorite episodes from Joel and the bots. I can't imagine watching this unMSTied. Where can I find a copy?

The only place you can get it is the DVD+R copies on EBay, as far as I know.

I don't know why they don't release this very "memoarble" flick on DVD! I think this was the first MST3K movie I saw.

Actually, this one is Mike and the 'bots- you can get it on Tape tradin' sites through Best Brains.

Since MGM released the un-MSTed version on DVD, it's highly unlikely that it will be included on any future Rhino releases. I recommend www.mst3ktapes.com for a decent copy.

Absolutely loved this horrible flick...."again I'am Australian". You can tell Mike and the Bots had fun with this one and that made it all the more fun.

Thanks. I don't know how MST3K works for getting movies (maybe I can look that up) but I always assumed they got stuff that was either public domain (in the case of the older stuff which can be seen in a number of places like those Elvira features of the latest incarnation of the Friday night movie, Nightmare Sinema) or that the studios saw as so low quality that they sold the rights to it very cheaply and were glad to get any money from it. Frankly, the studio should be happy this movie got the MST3K treatment and allow for that release since there is no way I would have any interest in this movie by itself. Maybe they could do some kind of joint venture where they both get any "profits". I don't know.

I would be very interested in an official release. This marked two first for me. It was the first MST3K I had seen as well as the first time I saw Kathy Ireland. It was always one of the funnier episodes (its kind of frustrating since it set the bar so high, but I'm certainly still a fan and always will be).

It is now available as part of Shout Factory 's Volume XXVI collection.
