I loved this movie! It was very close to my heart; I was never taken away from my parents care, but I do know the effects that any form of child abuse can do to a person. I noticed in the "comments" area that the granddaughter of the man that this is based on gave her views of the movie. Does she have a website to talk to people? I'd love to get in touch with her to let her know how much this story touched my life. I'd appreciate any feedback.

It also contributed to the daughters of one son, to live in marriages that were abusive and two daughters married sex offenders. Talk about domino affect!
My sister and I have survived; we are doing well in our homelives and now have wonderful loving husbands. One sister is so messed up I can not begin to tell you where her life will go. It is heartwrenching to be sure; but the real disaster is that in those days there was no emotional help for the family when they were brought back together again. My grandfather was so scared af the "agencies" That he would not trust them if there was.
