G'DAY! Here're some questions for yew.

#1. Why didn't we see Neville in this movie?

#2. What was the name of the guy who (a). was dragged away by a buffalo? (b). got BONKED by Donk?

#3. Wouldn't throwing a lit dynamite in the water put the fuse out?

#4. Why does the Closed Caption differ from the subtitle? The Closed Caption said that Mick said, "They (the fish) won't take a bite."; but the subtitle said that he said, "They won't take the bait.". Why the difference, & what DID he say?

#5. Is writer Brett Hogan related to Paul Hogan?

#6. When Mick is in the tree, & he tells Leroy that Sue is still alive, then we look in on Sue, did anyone else think that Sue could "sense" that Mick was just out there?

#7. One of my favorite lines in the movie was [quote]
"What are your chances of getting out of here with that jacket on?" to which Mick throws his knife THROUGH the guy's hair & replies, "Better than average." Then the guy says, "Yeah. I'll go along with that." That was funny!

#8. How did Sue take her bra off without taking her shirt off? Is it REALLY possible, or did the actress have it "prepared " up her sleeve?

#9. WHAT did Mick take out of his backpack to "make a telephone call"? Where can I get one? Can I make one? I like that whirring sound! How & why does it work?

#10. What kind of berries did Mick have Sue pick to attract bats at the camp?

#11. Is there such a bird as the Jarra Jarra? Or, typical of Wally, did he make it up?

#12. Did Paul make the sound to "attract" the bats, or did the sound effects team "INSERT" the sound?

#13. {TRIVIA QUESTION} What was the last line of the movie?

Eight divided by one-half equals four squared!

reply

#1. Why didn't we see Neville in this movie?

Script writer most likely thought the character had run its course...

Perhaps women's intuition?

#7. One of my favorite lines in the movie was [quote]

I'll only answer the questions here that I know:

=================================================
#4. Why does the Closed Caption differ from the subtitle? The Closed Caption said that Mick said, "They (the fish) won't take a bite."; but the subtitle said that he said, "They won't take the bait.". Why the difference, & what DID he say?

The typing in the closed captions must have been rushed. The line was "They won't take the bait."
=================================================
#5. Is writer Brett Hogan related to Paul Hogan?

Yes. Brett Hogan is his eldest son, by his first wife, Noelene.
=================================================
#6. When Mick is in the tree, & he tells Leroy that Sue is still alive, then we look in on Sue, did anyone else think that Sue could "sense" that Mick was just out there?

Yes. I think she sensed him.

#7. One of my favorite lines in the movie was [quote]
"What are your chances of getting out of here with that jacket on?" to which Mick throws his knife THROUGH the guy's hair & replies, "Better than average." Then the guy says, "Yeah. I'll go along with that." That was funny!

I agree. I laugh every time I see that scene.

#9. WHAT did Mick take out of his backpack to "make a telephone call"? Where can I get one? Can I make one? I like that whirring sound! How & why does it work?

The tool he used is called a bullroarer. The sound comes from the grooves in the wood reacting with the motion/and or the wind.
=================================================
#11. Is there such a bird as the Jarra Jarra? Or, typical of Wally, did he make it up?

I have a feeling Wally made the name up as a bluff.
=================================================
#12. Did Paul make the sound to "attract" the bats, or did the sound effects team "INSERT" the sound?

Post production sound...
=================================================
#13. {TRIVIA QUESTION} What was the last line of the movie?

Sue: "I am home."

reply

All right! Thank you for your reply! I will be researching the Bullroarer! I want one!

OOPS! You missed the trivia question. Crocodile Dundee had the last line. Listen AFTER the credits.

No. 8 ~ Most women can do that easily and probably have done it occasionally, especially when relaxing or perhaps changing clothes in a car. I've done it; my sister has done it. Actually, it's just about the most famous scene in "Flashdance":

Thank you, MystMoonstruck. I had never seen that before. I appreciate your answering! 😃

It's just one of those odd things that girls learn to do. When "Flashdance" was a hit, guys talked a lot about that scene, adding to the feminine mystique perhaps.

One cute bit I can remember: I know that, when my younger sister got married in the early Seventies, her husband was amazed to find out that women's eyebrows didn't always grow perfectly. He didn't have sisters, so he didn't know about tweezing brows. He couldn't believe that women put themselves through such torture.

LOL! THAT one I knew about, yet I STILL can't believe that torture they put themselves through. The same goes for them paying someone to put hot scalding wax in a private area, then <RIPPING!> the hair out!

I definitely do not understand the waxing! Ouch!
