Love the DVDs

I vaguely remember this show being on TV when I was a kid and never knew what the fuss was about (I was more in the My So Called Life demographic). A friend gave me thirtysomething for my 30th b-day, and I LOVE it. It's like I know who in my life these characters play.

Shows like this don't get made very often and when they do, sometimes they are all too short lived (see My So Called Life). Mad props to all the people who were involved in thirtysomething.

Also,Polly Draper, who played Hope's best friend Ellen, looks incredible in the special features interviews. I think she's even more gorgeous than she was on the show. Wow.

I TOTALLY agree with you! I ran home from work to watch it when it aired and I savor the DVD that I just bought. Great writing about characters that are always examining themselves and relationships!

LOL I totally agree. Whether it was flat ironing her hair & botox, or a great plastic surgeon and a total make over, I totally agree with you that Polly Draper looks better now than she did as 'Ellen' on thirtysomething...and even especially too compared to Mel Harris & Melanie Mayron 'now' (or 2009) vs 1991 or so. 

I always loved 30 something ever since it first aired in the late 80's!

Thirtysomething is the best character driven TV series about friendships of all time so far! I watched this series when I was 30 something and related to the stories about the complicated relationships of love and friendship. You don't have to be 30 something to connect with this series.
