I loved the opening and end credits to this show. I have found the opening on youtube. I was wondering if anybody knows where the end credits was filmed. I know the show was filmed in Washington State. There is a scene of I think a park at the end credits and I have always wanted to know the location. Thanks for any help.
shareJMBBlue: This show is among my top 10 favorites of all time. I was really sad when it was cancelled after such a brief run. The show's creators, btw, are the same team that brought us "St. Elsewhere," another series that ranks very high among critics.
Even watching the opening credits for the first time in about 20 years brought a tear to my eye. (Thanks for the heads-up that it's on YouTube.)
Loved the show so much that it contributed to my decision to leave sunny southern CA and move to Seattle in '92. Acc. to this site, it was filmed in a town called Edmonds (outside of Seattle) and in Seattle itself.
I don't recognize the park in the opening credits, but we have lots and lots of 'em here (everything is green in western WA), so it could be almost anywhere.
It sure had a great cast, didn't it? Fun to see a much younger Sarah Jessica Parker and Adam Arkin (pre-"Northern Exposure"), among others. RIP, Richard Kiley.
I loved this show. It made me think about what Washington State was like when I watched this show as a preteen. And guess what? I moved near Seattle this past summer. I always think of those end credits and those houses and that park. Maybe one day I will find it while cruising around the state if I ever get a chance. Oh and I also left Sunny California for the PNW.
