There was also a movie called "Wise Guys". It was directed by Brian DePalma and starred Danny DeVito, Joe Piscopo, Dan Hedaya, Harvey Keitel, and Captain Lou Albano.

the 1986 comedy 'Wise Guys' probably had more to do with 1990's Goodfellas not using name like "Wiseguy" than the Wiseguy series... heck look at the fact that the comedy Film was 1986 and the show was willing to use the name in 87
-especially when you look at the cast/crew of the Film being DePalma, DeVito, Keitel, Piscopo... all (save Piscopo) who by 1990 would have easily been assumed to be involved in a serious 'Mob Project' so some one looking for the Dramatic Film would too easily be steered wrong

My Blue Heaven (Steve Martin, Rick Moranis) 1990 was Based on the same research that produced Goodfellas... Pileggi, who wrote 'Goodfellas' (book and screenplay) was Married to Nora Ephron, who wrote 'My Blue Heaven' were married and according to one story she was helping him, and upon reading about the trouble Henry got into while in Witness Protection, it inspired her to write a Comedy about such antics
