Ok fellas, I called bestbuy today, because this is on their website to pre-order, and talked to customer service and ask them if it had been cancelled because os the news on the net. They looked it up and said it was still availabe for pre-order and would be released on the 6th. Then on ebay a guy has this up for pre-order, and I asked him the same thing. He said he had heard the rumors of it being cancelled, so he called both his suppliers, and he said thy told him there is no indication of it being cancelled at this time.....Take it for what you will, I want Werewolf as bad as you guys do..That's what I was told today
shareTimbuk3 was the other band "My future's so Bright I gotta Wear Shades". I checked Amazon, and the only thing I could find was a preorder for the series on Blu Ray (I wish), and there was nothing about a release date. I have my fingers crossed, but I have a sinking feeling...

This is *beep* All because two *beep* artists don't want their song played.

also with all these places taking pre-orders and such it seems vary likely that the dvd's themselves have been make. I am willing to bet a good chunk of money has been spent on these and their best bet would to get the issues with the music straight.
i also wouldn't be surprised if rips of a leaked set would appear sooner or later on the net.
They wouldn't make thousands of sets without first making sure everything was cleared. Most likely all that exists is the authoring files on a hard drive somewhere at Shout! Factory.
shareCrap.
This isn't the first time music rights has spoiled my dvd buying plans. The Wonder Years, Boston Public, The Decline of Western Civilization and now Werewolf.
Does anyone know how this royalty business works? Is a band/songwriter paid a lump sum or a piece of each unit shipped/sold?
I can see how a show like The Wonder Years could be mired by royalties given the high volume of classic tunes but the others I mentioned above (including Werewolf) leave me scratching my head a bit.
