werewolf effects

I've only seen clips of this show, but I have to say that the werewolves looked pretty good to me. Especially considering this was a low-budget show from the 80s. Skorzeny's werewolf, in particular, is creepy. A hell of a lot better than the CGI junk they put out today.

yes the werewolf look really good for the time and prob would stand up today 20 years later. the make up and costume people did a great job

I agree to a point, they definitely were the coolest, scariest werewolves I've ever seen, however the fight scene's were always pretty lame due to the budget/technology limitations at the time.

Re: Well, they were designed by Greg Cannom.

No they weren't. The werewolves themselves were designed by Rick Baker, who also designed the creatures for "American Werewolf in London" and MJ's "Thriller" video. Greg Cannom only handled the transformations.

The werewolves in this show do indeed still stand up today, they are still the best put onscreen alongside American Werewolf and The Howling. Wonderful looking creatures.

It's a tender love song, very beautiful. {Whats it called?} Lick my love pump.

Skorzeny's "werewolf" was the ultimate in coolness. What was great about him was that as Eric had observed, "I'm a man who turns into a wolf, you're a wolf masquerading as a man" Which was true because all Skorzeny had to do was pull his human facade off and viola! there was the wolf unlike anyone else who had to first transform. Very ingenious way to do it, hasn't been duplicated since to the best of my knowledge.
