General Questions

1. With the pentagram showing up on his hand, Eric knows he's about to transform
into a werewolf, so why doesn't he ever get out of his clothes?

2. Why does Eric often try to lock himself up when he's about to transform into
a werewolf when a lot of times he'll just break out of where he locks
himself into?

3. Why does Skorzeny want to kill Eric in the first place?

reply

Skorzeny didn't want to kill Eric at first. If you watch the pilot
he invites Eric to join him but Eric refuses and tries tries to kill him. A few episodes later Skorzeny asks Eric to join him again in "Friendly Haven". But Eric refuses thinking that killing him will end the curse. But doesn't learn till "To Dream of Wolves: Part 1" that Janos isn't the original bloodline.

reply

He locks himself up often to prevent himself from hurting people.Regardless of whether the werewolf breaks out or not he still has to try.
And Eric made it very clear to Skorzany that he intended to kill him to end his curse.I would assume that this is why Skorzany wants him dead.

I wonder now that if Janos wasn't the beginning of the line, then why didn't he tell Eric and get him off his back? Another question that comes to mind is of the bloodline itself. When does a bloodline actually begin? I remember Remy saying that he was unhappy about Skorzeny and his bloodline, so I would guess that it is a separate line altogether, unaffected by Remy. So if Eric killed Skorzeny then he should be free of the curse.

reply

Skorzeny's line is an off shoot of Remy's line, a branch on the same tree. So Skorzeny is not the beginning of the line - Remy is further up, although who knows when, were(wolf), or how(l) the line began. [Sorry, couldn't help myself!]

The real answer to this, to my understanding, is that Skorzeny was intended to be the head werewolf. However, Chuck Connors wanted more money and was eventually eliminated from the show. Skorzeny still existed as a character, until his death, but you never actually see Chuck Connors, save for the recycled transformation where he pulls the skin from his face.

Remy was eventually added and made out to be the head werewolf all along, but this was not the original intent, which is why Skorzeny never mentioned it in season one. Regarding the bloodline, Remy was the one who turned Skorzeny, but Remy didn't like Skorzeny's offshoot bloodline, because he did not like Skorzeny. It's definitely not a separate bloodline though.
