Maurice Roeves is fantastic


My god, did he bring that character to life.
In the last episode he goes through just about every human emotion that can physically be portrayed. I could only recall seeing him in Last of the Mohicans, getting his heart ripped out by Wes Studi.
That scene where he's stumbling about on the pavement then sees himself on all the tv screens made me cry, we really want him to get back up there again, one last time, it's his destiny.
I also think his ultimate demise on the stage is so much more powerful because we don't actually see it, a simple trick which is hardly ever used in TV or film today.

It was a breakthrough role for him. Previous to that he tended to play villains or seargent major types.
