My favorite thing

My favorite thing about this series was always the introduction of a new character in every show. When my brothers and I would see someone who wasn't a part of the normal cast we'd always say. "Well, he's gonna die" They usually kept the normal cast together. When one would die, it was shocking and a decent plot twist. This show was great. I bought both seasons on DVD. It may very well be my favorite series of all time. Terence Knox is the man.

I really shouldn't have read this thread.... Kim's character dies?!?!?!

I liked her, I didn't like the Dr. Seymour character though, I'm glad she's gone.

I'm 18, and I'm in England. I only just discovered it, usually catching the last 5 minutes or so while waiting for x-files, then I started watching it the episode after the pilot. They have Paint it Black at the beginning as well!

I thought Dr Seymour was great for Zeke. She certainly would understand him (going through hell in the Vietnam War) having been there, in the army and as a caring person and psychiatrist.

There are many female fans (Goldman groupies lol) who did not shed a tear when Alex Devlin was killed. I'd would be careful saying that you liked her lol

I didn't like Alex either but I did have tears in my eyes when she died....it was surprising & shocking the way it happened and the reaction of Goldman was heartbreaking.

Not a Goldman fan...my man was Danny(Tony Becker).

That episode, 'Doc Hock' aired today. I thought Alex was hot and her character brought a different side to the Vietnam War (the reporting). It was sad when she was killed. I was thinking that she just could have gone to Paris, won her Pulitzer prize or gotten a bigger gig for her tunnels and/or peace talks stories. However, I guess it just went to show that in Vietnam, you could have been killed in the most unlikely of times and situations.

Zeke is my fav, along with Goldman, Percell and Taylor. The only guy that sort of irritated me was McKay but that was his personality I guess...

I guess they were rather Caffrey-groupies than Goldman-groupies. Indeed, he was drop dead gorgeous that time.

English is not my first language. Any corrections are welcome.

I hated with a white hot passion Alex Devlin's character. I was so happy when they killed her off. I only wish it had happened earlier in season two, not the beginning of season three to have to suffer through her.

I loved Jennifer Seymour. I loved Betsy Brantley and thought she was a far better representation of women during that war far better than Kim Delaney's character. Same with Pamela Gidley's Nikki Raines. I loved her and wished they'd brought her back in season two instead of putting Myron with Alex.

Sometimes my ruminations are too confusing for someone not inside my head. -Anon

For me, the way that some episodes start with some obscure fact about the conflict, see it's educational too!
