Holodeck - Where Would You Go?

The holodeck is used quite a bit in TNG. Even in the movies. Sorry if this has been posted before, but where would you go? What would you simulate?

Me..right now I would attempt to recreate some Larry Niven Known Space. Maybe be Beowulf Shaeffer. Louis Wu visiting Ringworld. Phssthpok for a different perspective.

I'd just lie around the beach at Waikiki. And since it's just a simulation, I wouldn't even need sunscreen.

If I felt like getting some exercise, I'd walk around London, Paris or Rome.

Sorry, not too imaginative.

No, quite right. I was using the holodeck as an escape from my present confines. Not thinking if I was stuck on a starship. A walk through Paris would be like heaven if I was confined to such technological corridors and quarters portrayed in TNG. I love Paris. I have been to Rome, and enjoyed that, never to London.

You realize of course that by imagining a holodeck used for sex stuff, your personal custom Hell (should you go there) would be for you to be the perpetual holodeck squeegee man... I'd make peace with God at all costs if I were you!

I would go to Star Trek itself. Unless I was already in Star Trek.

Fascinating. But...which Trek. If I had to choose - Next Generation. Without any reference to Q. Or maybe Enterprise, just for T'Pol.

Just use the holodeck to visit Vulcan. You can meet all the T'Pols you like.
